■520    ▼aThis  study  deals  with  the  nominality  problem  in  the  Korean  Church  and  gift-based  ministry  as  a  significant  corrective.  Nominality  issues  are  discussed  with  a  viewpoint  of  faith  transmission  between  each  generation,  comparison  of  three  major  religions,  religious  consciousness  and  church  life  of  Korean  Protestants.  Although  the  Korean  Church  has  a  relatively  short  history  of  little  over  one  hundred  years,  it  is  expected  that  the  nominality  problem  will  increase  as  time  goes  by.
■520    ▼aConsidering  the  general  circumstances  of  the  Korean  Church,  gift-based  ministry  is  one  of  the  best  ways  to  prevent  an  increasing  nominality  problem.  For  the  purpose  of  applying  gift-based  ministry  into  the  local  churches,  this  study  explores  theological  foundations  and  practical  preparation  for  gift-based  ministry.  As  a  practical  guideline,  this  study  introduces  a  case  study  of  Sa-Rang  Community  Church's  gift-based  ministry.  Finally,  this  study  suggests  several  recommendations  for  preventing  nominality  through  gift-based  ministry.
