초록/해제: 요약 : River Oaks Community Church is a new church plant located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Raleigh is the state capital of North Carolina, a city of 250,000 people. The fast-developing Wake County surrounds Raleigh. The city and county have a total population exceeding 650,000. The Northeast part of the city is an area experiencing tremendous growth and commercial development. Projected population growth over the next two decades for the Northeast corner of the city is 50,000. High tech jobs and low unemployment are the impetus for growth in the area.

초록/해제: 요약 : The church-planting pastor started a seeker sensitive style church in Virginia in 1992. The move to Raleigh to plant a church was in affiliation with the Mideast Baptist Conference, a regional district of the Baptist General Conference denomination. Four months after moving to the area, an informational meeting for interested core group members was held. Fourteen people attended the meeting. After another four months of core group development, the church had its grand opening service in April 2000 with 51 people in attendance. The church presently meets in leased facilities located in a Northeast Raleigh business park.
