요약 : The health and growth of the Church in America depend upon whether it returns to the evangelistic model which Jesus established in the gospels and which the early church picked up and followed in the book of Acts. The biblical doctrine of evangelism must be understood primarily from the evangelistic ministry of Jesus and the disciples he trained in that method for three years. Jesus' message and methods of evangelism are prescriptive for the modern church, not merely descriptive. If Jesus were to come to earth today he would build his church using exactly the same model, message and methods he used in the first century and which he trained his disciples to use to plant churches across the world.

요약 : This study exposes the seeker church philosophy as a theologically flawed and dangerous attempt to revitalize a dying church. The seeker church philosophy, which is rooted not in solid biblical exegesis but in secular psychology, pragmatism and marketing is killing the evangelical movement. Bible exposition is neglected so neither the whole counsel nor the whole character of God is proclaimed to the “seeker.” The nature of God is bifurcated so that the “offensive” attributes of God are neglected. A new, perverse God and a new, perverse gospel are presented to the seeker.

요약 : The only hope for the church is to return to the Bible's teaching on evangelism. This study looks at evangelism in light of some major categories of systematic theology. It examines the role which the Bible, the Father, the Spirit, and demons play in the evangelistic endeavor. It also examines the biblical doctrine of salvation to understand the message which Jesus proclaimed in his evangelistic encounters. From this theological study flows an evangelism strategy for the local church.
초록/해제
요약 : Jesus discipled his disciples to do person to person evangelism. The Great Commission commands disciples to practice person to person evangelism. The early church of the book of Acts practiced person to person evangelism. Those who responded in repentance and faith were taught, in discipleship, to obey all the commands of Christ—including evangelism. Marketing techniques such as mailings and phone blitzes may attract a certain number of people to a building but those methods do not alleviate the disciple from personally sharing the gospel with the lost, in the power of the Holy Spirit and seeking to bring the sinner to a response of repentance, faith and submission to the lordship of Christ.
