■520    ▼aThe  purpose  of  this  dissertation  is  to  analyze  and  evaluate  the  evangelistic  contributions  of  Falls  Creek  Baptist  Assembly  of  the  Baptist  General  Convention  of  Oklahoma.  It  is  considered  to  be  the  largest  camp  of  its  kind  and  yet  its  contributions  are  virtually  unknown.
■520    ▼aArchival  materials  preserved  by  the  Historical  Commission  of  the  Oklahoma  convention  are  the  primary  sources  used  for  this  study.  They  include  the  original  Falls  Creek  programs,  correspondence,  sermons,  newspaper  articles,  and  the  annual  reports  from  the  Baptist  General  Convention  of  Oklahoma.
■520    ▼aThe  introduction  establishes  the  foundation  of  the  investigation  by  discussing  the  research  problem,  research  methodology,  and  thesis.  The  first  chapter,  "The  Historical  Development  of  Falls  Creek,"  presents  a  brief  chronological  history  of  the  camp,  weekly  agenda,  and  use  of  the  camp  by  special  groups.
■520    ▼aThe  second  chapter,  "The  Primacy  of  Salvation,"  demonstrates  how  Falls  Creek  has  been  instrumental  in  the  salvation  of  thousands.  Topics  include:  transformed  lives,  preaching,  the  invitation,  conservation,  and  the  climate  for  evangelism.
■520    ▼aThe  third  chapter,  "The  Priority  of  Discipleship,"  shows  how  Falls  Creek  has  fostered  the  faith  of  many.  Topics  include:  the  consecration  of  life,  spiritual  formation  for  ministry,  and  reproduction  in  the  life  of  the  disciple.
■520    ▼aThe  fourth  chapter,  "The  Global  Implications  on  Vocational  Ministry,"  relates  the  high  percentages  of  students  called  to  special  service  at  the  camp  and  the  exponential  effects  of  their  ministries.  It  also  demonstrates  the  influence  of  Southern  Baptist  missionaries  upon  the  camp.
■520    ▼aThe  fifth  chapter,  "A  Vision  for  the  Future,"  introduces  the  campaign  for  the  future  of  Falls  Creek.  It  validates  the  fact  that  Oklahoma  Baptists  believe  that  the  assembly  has  been  greatly  used  by  God.
■520    ▼aThe  conclusion  presents  the  evangelistic  strengths  and  weaknesses  of  the  assembly,  provides  recommendations  for  the  future  of  the  camp,  and  offers  Falls  Creek  as  a  model  for  other  camps.
■520    ▼aThe  principle  conclusion  reached  from  this  study  is  that  the  greatest  evangelistic  contribution  of  Falls  Creek  Baptist  Assembly  is  the  thousands  that  have  been  called  to  vocational  ministry  while  attending  the  assembly.  They  minister  around  the  world  and  have  spiritual  results  of  varying  degrees.
