Yet many people in the Bible were credited with performing miracles and not one of them is considered deity. Jesus is God. He never lost nor lessened his deity. But the miracles of Jesus were never meant to be proof of his deity. The miracles of Jesus demonstrate that he was doing the work of God on earth. Jesus functioned as a Spirit-filled man doing the ministry in the power and leading of the Holy Spirit.

초록/해제: 요약 : If Jesus operated as a Spirit-filled man while on earth, it can be demonstrated that we should live the same Spirit-filled life. Man or woman, we have the same kind of access to God the Father as did Jesus. We have the right, privilege, and expectation to live out our lives empowered and directed by the Holy Spirit in the same manner as did Jesus, differing from Jesus only in degree.

초록/해제: 요약 : The paper will be divided into three sections. The first section will provide theological evidence for Jesus operating as a Spirit-filled man. The definition of orthodox Christology as developed in the ecumenical councils, expanded on in the theology of the reformers and others, and held by current theologians allows a Spirit-filled Christology.

초록/해제: 요약 : The second section will demonstrate that the Biblical evidence is best explained with a Spirit-filled Christology. Jesus was led and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Jesus also prayed and learned obedience. The way Jesus lived his life is the way we are called to live our lives.

초록/해제: 요약 : The third section will show that the problem within today's church is due partly to a faulty Christology. The Church Growth Movement has steered the church far from what it should be. Throughout history there are plenty of examples of the church understanding and practicing a more proper Christology. Today there is hope for regaining a proper view of Christ and a proper view of the ministry of the church.
