■520    ▼aThis  project  is  about  prayer  training  for  an  effective  prayer.  The  purpose  of  this  project  was  to  ensure  that  the  small  group  prayer  training  would  be  very  effective  for  the  individual  Christian  or  the  church  as  a  community  because  most  of  the  Christians  are  busy  due  to  a  lack  of  time  which  comes  from  rapid  social  changes.  The  researcher  established  five  hypotheses  as  follows:  First,  the  small  group  prayer  training  would  give  the  biblical  confidence  that  the  Lord  would  answer  their  prayers.  Second,  through  this  small  group  prayer  training,  the  individual  Christian  would  pray  more  powerfully,  continually  and  attentively.  Third,  through  this  small  group  prayer  training,  the  individual  Christian  would  be  more  independent  in  their  prayer  lives,  throwing  away  their  dependency  on  their  pastors.  Moreover,  they  would  offer  intercessory  prayers  for  other  church  members  and  their  pastors.  Fourth,  small  group  prayer  training  will  produce  many  prayer  ministers,  who  will  help  the  other  believers  to  pray.  Fifth,  small  group  prayer  training  will  help  the  believers  to  overcome  the  difficulties  of  time  and  places  to  meet  for  prayer.
■520    ▼aThe  researcher  recruited  10  believers  from  the  High  School  Departments  to  the  Adult  Departments  from  the  church  he  serves  as  a  senior  pastor  and  trained  them  eight  times.  He  trained  them  to  pray  more  powerfully,  continually  and  attentively  based  on  the  biblical  knowledge.  The  results  of  the  pretest  and  posttest  of  the  training  were  compared.  These  results  supported  the  hypotheses.  First,  the  small  group  prayer  training  gave  them  the  confidence  that  the  Lord  would  answer  their  prayer.  Second,  the  believers  could  pray  more  powerfully,  continually  and  attentively.  Third,  the  believers  could  pray  independently  rather  than  depending  upon  their  pastors  for  the  prayer  of  their  pastors  and  other  church  members.  Fourth,  many  lay  prayer  ministers  were  produced.  Fifth,  they  could  overcome  the  difficulties  of  securing  time  and  space  for  prayer  meetings.
■520    ▼aThe  researcher  was  able  to  check  that  the  prayer  life  of  the  believers  had  been  changed  and  through  this  the  prayer  atmosphere  of  the  church  became  much  warmer.  Through  this  project,  the  researcher  learned  that  the  small  group  prayer  training  is  a  very  effective  program  for  the  growth  of  the  prayer  life  of  the  believers,  and  would  challenge  many  of  the  believers  today  to  be  trained.
