요약 : This project attempted to assess the impact of the general education course, 'Charismatic Life and the Healing Ministry' on Undergraduate Students at Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma. This course is a graduation requirement for all students and is generally taken in the freshmen or sophomore year.

요약 : The design for the study was a one group (experimental) Pre-test/Post-test. The assessment was conducted during the spring 2001 semester. Two Hundred Twenty-Three (223) took the pre-test on January 11, 2001. The post-test was given on April 24, 2001, to 205 students.

요약 : A questionnaire designed by the researcher was used to assess the course. It had four major areas: demographics, attitude, behavior and knowledge. The assessment instrument included forty-four questions. The pre-test and post-test were identical with the exception of the final question. On the pre-test, students were given an open-ended question to express expectations from the course. The post-test gave an opportunity to express whether expectations were met.

요약 : The results of the project were presented in the following ways: Demographic Summary, Comparison of Changes in the Affective Domain, Comparison of Changes in the Cognitive Domain, Comparison of Changes in the Psychomotor Domain, Analysis Based on Selected Demographic Variables, and Comparison of Student Goals and Perceived Gains. Sixteen variables were selected to analyze the data on questions 14-24 (attitudinal and behavioral). The following variables were selected for special analysis: age, gender, ethnicity, grade level, religious background, and national origin.

요약 : For the most part, this study showed that the instruction of the various subjects in the class did have an impact on the student's knowledge base, attitude, and behavior. Although most responses indicated a rise in student learning and activity, two behavioral areas indicated a very small downward trend. These were in the areas of seed faith and laying on of hands. Because of high pre-test scores, any increase in the test scores was viewed as important.

요약 : The study revealed the necessity of the ongoing evaluation of courses taught at Oral Roberts University, particularly core courses that address the founding purposes and principles of the University. Such research presented in the Applied Research Project Report can be of assistance to the University's continuous assessment efforts.
