■520    ▼aSince  1862  the  Presbyterian  Church  in  Brazil  has  contributed  to  the  church  multiplication  phenomenon  through  four  generations  of  churches.  This  research  presents  the  genealogical  development  inside  the  denomination,  starting  with  the  founding  fathers'  theoretical  influence  on  Brazilian  Presbyterian  missiology,  church  organization,  and  multiplication  development.

■520    ▼aQuantitative  general  findings  based  upon  each  church's  number  of  members,  income  level,  and  years  as  an  organized  church  were  supported  by  comparative  study  findings  contrasting  multiplying  and  non-multiplying  churches.  Genealogical  findings  show  four  generations  of  churches  and  indicate  that  some  multiplication  has  occurred  through  independent  projects  and  multi-church  partnership  motherhood.  Ethnographic  findings  indicate  the  multiplication  process.

■520    ▼aThe  research  employed  a  grounded  theory  method  that  generated  a  theory  emergent  from  the  data  by  triangulating  the  data  through  multiple  methods  and  categories  to  secure  an  in-depth  understanding.  It  also  provided  support  for  the  research  design,  data  collecting,  organization,  analysis  and  conclusions.
■520    ▼aThe  result  of  the  research  is  a  theoretical  framework  called  an    emigrational  family  network  with  imitation  of  the  majority  religion-scape.    Comparing  it  with  pre-existing  missio-socio-anthropological  theories  by  reviewing  fourteen  mainline  definitions  of  mission  and  missiological  contemporary  mission  strategies,  the  research  explores  the  phenomenon's  social,  economic,  ecclesiastical  environment  and  anthropological  connections.
