■520    ▼aThis  dissertation  argues  that  the  subunit  Mark  2:1–3:6  reflects  the  sequence  of  the  New  Exodus  (NE)  as  it  is  developed  and  expressed  in  Isa  57:14–58:14.  This  literary  relationship  is  based  on  distinctive  lexical,  thematic,  and  theological  correlations  within  an  identical  sequence  of  topics:  (1)  healing  and  forgiveness,  (2)  fasting,  and  (3)  Sabbath  keeping.
