초록/해제
요약 : This Dissertation will introduce the concept of relational reconciliation as a theological and psychological construct applicable to Christian ministry and Christian counseling. The thesis presented will be that the restoration and reconciliation of broken human relationships is biblically mandated and necessary for persons to be effectively healed from psychological and spiritual dysfunction.
초록/해제
요약 : The mandate for reconciliation is theologically based on the relational, communal nature of God. Since humans share in the nature of God, it is essential that they be in relationship with him and others. However, the consequences of sin have profoundly disrupted all relationships. Estrangement must be healed at the level of relational reconciliation before true koinonia can be reestablished and health and peace restored.
초록/해제
요약 : This paper is divided into two parts. The first part explores the theological nature of relational reconciliation by investigating the relational nature of God. His perichoretic “Beinghood” will be presented in the visual metaphor of a triple helix. The theological need for reconciliation is examined first, emphasizing the need to stop the cycles of violence and estrangement. The nature of Atonement is viewed from a reconciliatory perspective, rather than the traditional forensic paradigm. The first part concludes with an extended discussion of the significant New Testament passages relevant to relational reconciliation.
초록/해제
요약 : The second part applies the theological principles discovered in part one. The ministry of relational reconciliation is presented under three broad areas of practical application: forgiveness, counseling therapy, and the local church community. Relational reconciliation is contrasted with various biblical metaphors, such as union in Christ, and transformation, and finally presented as the telos of forgiveness. Pastoral counseling therapy applications are made, using systemic principles in combination with the concepts present in relational reconciliation. The process of change is detailed, and discussed in the context of healing from shame. In the life of the local church, leadership applications are emphasized. A vision of the life of a relationally reconciled church family is sketched.
초록/해제
요약 : The goal of this paper is to provide church leaders and pastoral counselors with a fresh, vibrant, and biblical framework for viewing dysfunction from a larger, systemic perspective. It will assist them with a model for more effective ministry.
