초록/해제: 요약 : Based on the data collected from a thorough study on the Second Temple Judaism literature (e.g., 4Q491, 4Q540/541, 4Q521, 1 Enoch, 2 Macc, and 4 Macc), the case seems to be that evidences from various Jewish quarters suggest a strong possibility that a messianic interpretation of the servant, and even the suffering servant, may have been known to some circles. This case establishes itself contra Morna D. Hooker's conclusion.

초록/해제: 요약 : More allusion cases (about 14) than quotations cases (8 or 9) in the NT are analyzed in this study, and many allusion cases are confirmed. The present study shows that Isaiah 53, along with many other OT passages, must have been in the mind of the historical Jesus and he clearly used the fourth Servant passage for his theology and ministry (including “redemption”). This result of the study goes against the conclusion of Hooker.

초록/해제: 요약 : In several cases the NT writers utilized some interpretive tradition(s) which had previously been influenced by the Isa 53 passage or interpretive tradition(s) preceding the former tradition(s). In many cases the use of Isa by Jesus and the NT writers was influenced by the Servant poem's Wirkungsgeschichte which was expanded thereby. Many cases of using Isa 53 belong to the passion context. Many quotations and allusions were made for the establishing of Christology (theological and doctrinal use). In not a few cases, they were for practical (missionary, ethical, or pastoral) purposes. The hermeneutical schemes for many allusions and quotations are diverse: mostly prophetic or typological prophetic on the one hand, and midrashic on the other. There are some cases for the typological use. There are several cases for the literal or pesher type use. Another point is to be noted: The interpretative approach shown in Jesus' use of the Isaianic Servant passage set the pattern for and was followed by his disciples and the early Christian community. Jesus and his followers utilized the Servant passages, especially Isa 53, knowing the theological significance of the passage for their identity and mission. They saw the full realization of the import of the language of the song in the “Jesus event” and thus applied it to the life and ministry of Jesus (and theirs).

초록/해제: 요약 : This study evolved from a need: There is no comprehensive study, so far, on the historical and hermeneutical analysis of the New Testament use of the fourth Servant song. Most related works are short, partial, shallow, broad (e.g. dealing with Isa 40?55), or/and dated. None include a thorough and relatively comprehensive analysis of the poem's allusive uses by Jesus and the NT writers.

초록/해제: 요약 : This study shows that the semantic field of meaning of Isa 52:13?53:12 includes the vicariously redemptive suffering and atoning death of the Servant of Yahweh. The probable identity of the Servant was seen to be some special future agent of God whose image might be based on an anonymous historical figure, some unknown contemporary servant of God. It is also shown that the poetic feature of the passage makes much room for typological or applicational appropriation of the fourth Servant song in the following periods.
