■520    ▼aChapters  3  and  4  examine  the  theme  of  exile  in  Deuteronomy.  Chapter  3  examines  the  major  texts  (Deut  4:25-31;  28:58-68;  30:1-10)  and  their  immediate  contexts.  Chapter  4  surveys  the  rest  of  Deuteronomy,  and  includes  exploration  of  the  macrostructure  of  the  book.  These  chapters  show  that  exile  is  a  pervasive  and  significant  theme  in  the  book.
