■520    ▼aThis  thesis  project  is  undertaken  to  show  the  importance  of  parish  mission  preaching  and  its  role  in  the  history  of  the  Church  in  the  United  States.  Having  its  roots  in  Europe,  parish  mission  preaching  was  introduced  to  the  United  States  by  various  religious  orders.  By  interviewing  parish  mission  preachers,  this  project  demonstrates  the  strength  and  influence  of  parish  mission  preaching  today.  This  project  also  demonstrates  need  for  ongoing  formation  for  preachers  of  parish  missions.
