초록/해제: 요약 : Both Calvin and the Presbyterian tradition assume a high level of personal spirituality among believers. That personal spirituality drives faith and worship. The restoration of a Calvinist tradition of mid-week prayer services provides a forum for the introduction of Ignatian spiritual disciplines in a communal setting and a venue for the encouragement of daily spiritual practices among the individual members. I conclude with a recommended order of service for a mid-week prayer service as well as recommendations for a variety of other Ignatian disciplines in daily practice.

A renewed spiritual awareness integrating faith and daily life among Presbyterians will bring them to communal worship filled with the crucial experience of gratitude.

I have read original sources (primarily Calvin and Ignatius) and contemporary interpreters of both the Reformed and Ignatian traditions on both worship and spirituality.
