요약 : "Tracking the Footsteps: An Examination of Anselm's Influence Upon Karl Barth's Christological Formulation" traces the course of Barth's theological pilgrimage from the earliest part of his career through the Church Dogmatics. The main thrust of the work concerns itself with the epistemological choices Barth made and how these decisions led to the adoption of a particular christological model influenced by Barth's distinctive interpretation of Anselm.
초록/해제
요약 : As Barth's journey is tracked, the degree of Barth's captivity to nineteenth century theology is noted, especially in his earliest epistemological and christological choices. Barth joins the two together in such a way that revelation centers around Christ, however, revelation at this juncture was conceptualized as the Christocentric actualization of religious consciousness, or immediate experience. It is shown that from the very beginning Christ functioned as the indissoluble nexus of theological formulation.

요약 : Barth's dissatisfaction with his theological inheritance is charted through his dialectical period to the writing of his book on Anselm. Barth's shift from the position where revelation is dependent upon the constituent relationship between God and humanity, to the place where revelation is dependent upon the bestowal of God's proper objectivity and rationality is explored with concern for Barth's emerging christological focus.

요약 : The work commences with an examination of the theological terrain in which Barth took his bearings. Particular attention is paid to Schleiermacher and the dimensions that Christology assumed in his work, with special reference to the connection between redemption and the inherent God-consciousness of humankind. The implications of this compel Barth to enter into a continuing discussion with Schleiermacher.
초록/해제
요약 : With the methodology Barth received from Anselm he found the epistemological orientation that allowed his Christology to assume the shape it did. It is submitted, however, that Barth's interpretation of Anselm, and its influence upon Barth's Christology cannot be understood apart from Schleiermacher's theological legacy and the impact this had on Barth, especially in the area of soteriology. It is seen, therefore, that Christology always maintained centrality in Barth's thought, but the epistemological and christological shifts brought about different results then those inherited from the legacy of nineteenth century theology.
