■520    ▼aThe  paper  will  capture  the  basic  ideas  that  will  become  the  conversations  for  mentoring.  The  work  is  based  on  conversations  with  current  church  planters.  The  content  will  create  environments  for  learning  and  theology  to  become  practical  in  a  postmodern  culture.  The  first  element  will  be  the  foundational  concept  of  missional  church  planting.  This  paradigm  will  lead  us  to  reflect  on  cultural  contexts,  historical  and  biblical  information,  and  the  practices  that  emerge  from  these  considerations.  It  will  be  followed  by  new  habits,  skills,  and  disciplines  that  align  with  this  notion.  It  is  hoped  that  the  interior  life  of  the  church  planter  would  be  shaped,  congruent  with  new  practices  that  would  inspire  innovation.
■520    ▼aThis  paper  and  project  focus  on  creating  a  mentoring  environment  for  church  planting.  It  explores  an  approach  that  intends  to  shape  the  values  and  strategies  utilized  for  mentoring  church  planters,  while  at  the  same  time  attempting  to  be  grounded  in  the  earliest  patterns  of  church  history.  It  offers  a  way  of  listening  to  God  and  culture  that  would  possibly  create  fresh  notions  of  what  it  means  to  be  a  community  of  faith.  The  work  suggests  that  there  is  a  way  to  mentor  church  planters  in  methods  that  could  create  new  environments  for  transformation  in  place  of  the  common  migration  patterns  of  consumer  religion.
■520    ▼aToday's  church  exists  in  an  ever  changing  environment  that  makes  contextualization  a  critical  pathway.  For  a  church  planter  the  process  of  contextualization,  the  mandate  to  make  disciples,  and  the  unique  cultural  realities  of  a  place  open  up  new  and  unique  possibilities.  We  must  become  agile  and  adept  in  discerning  the  language,  stories,  and  people;  while  at  the  same  time  being  relentless  about  discerning  the  leadership  of  God  in  our  own  lives.
