요약 : The findings indicate the following: (1) Clinicians' work in the polyglot tongue erected minimal or no barriers between themselves and their children. (2) Clinicians' comfort with and confidence about language competency increased with time. (3) Language linked communication challenges were utilized to benefit and enrich the relational work. (4) Clinicians use of their selves---their accents, self disclosure, non linguistic communicative venues, and mental and verbal countertransferential/empathic switching of languages---were perceived as significant therapeutic modes and tools. (5) Ethno-cultural dissimilarity did not hinder the therapeutic process. (6) Shared immigration phenomenon fortified empathy.
