요약 : A detailed analysis of the data gathered from the sample groups within the population of the study is offered. Tables are used to display summary statistics which show significant relationships between biblical literacy and grade level, regular church and Sunday school attendance, the number of years enrolled in a Christian school, the number of years as a Christian, and parental faith.

요약 : Finally, this study draws conclusions based on the data. Poor biblical literacy levels lead to implications for the sample schools, their accrediting agency, the local church, and the state of Christianity as a whole. Research applications are suggested for each of these areas and suggestions for further study are offered.

요약 : The population and samples for this study of biblical literacy in Christian schools include Christian schools in the State of Arkansas. Biblical literacy is defined with the help of an expert panel of theologians and the methodology of the study is outlined.

The problem of biblical literacy, previous studies in biblical literacy, causes of biblical literacy and solutions for biblical literacy are all focal points of discussion. In addition, the study includes an overview of attempts to define biblical literacy.

요약 : This dissertation examines biblical literacy in Christian schools based on a conservative evangelical definition. This study exposes the problem of biblical literacy in our culture and in our churches and focuses on Christian education as a means to improve biblical literacy. The question then becomes: How well do Christian schools do at increasing biblical literacy?
