■520    ▼aFINDINGS  AND  CONCLUSIONS:  The  T-Test  for  Independent  Samples  demonstrated  that  adolescents  participating  in  the  LIT  program  received  higher  discipleship  concept  scores  in  the  CSPP  than  adolescents  who  did  not  participate  in  the  LIT  program.  The  Two-Way  ANOVA  found  no  significant  differences  between  genders  based  on  LIT  participation  in  the  application  of  specified  discipleship  concepts.  An  additional  t-test  was  conducted  taking  out  the  factor  of  LIT  participation,  and  there  was  a  significant  difference  among  genders  in  the  application  of  specified  discipleship  concepts.
■520    ▼aPROBLEM:  the  first  problem,  related  to  a  descriptive  research  design,  was  to  determine  the  difference  in  the  application  of  specified  discipleship  concepts  between  two  groups  of  selected  adolescents  who  have  participated  in  the  lit  discipleship  program  and  adolescents  who  have  not  participated  in  the  lit  discipleship  program  in  selected  southern  baptist  churches.  The  second  problem,  also  related  to  a  descriptive  research  design,  was  to  determine  the  difference  in  the  application  of  specified  discipleship  concepts  between  genders  of  two  groups  of  selected  adolescents  in  lit-participating  churches.
■520    ▼aPROCEDURES:  In  the  descriptive  research  design,  the  Christian  Spiritual  Participation  Profile  (CSPP)  was  given  in  a  controlled  environment  to  adolescents  in  lit-participating  churches.  Data  from  the  (CSPP)  was  used  in  the  t-test  for  independent  samples  and  the  Two  Way  ANOVA  to  test  the  null  hypothesis.  Additionally,  a  demographic  survey  was  given  to  adolescents.  This  was  used  to  ascertain  emerging  themes  in  the  adolescent's  application  of  specified  discipleship  concepts.
