■520    ▼aThis  thesis  project  sought  to  address  the  problem  of  the  neglected  use  of  pathos  or  biblical  pathos  in  preaching,  especially  in  Reformed  preaching.  Special  attention  was  given  to  the  right  use  of  biblical  pathos  in  persuasive  preaching  with  proper  exegetical  methods  and  communication  skills.    The  scope  of  this  thesis  is  limited  to  pathos,  one  of  the  three  available  means  for  persuasion  as  Aristotle  suggested.    Through  careful  research,  the  researcher  sought  to  answer  the  question,  "Does  the  right  use  of  the  biblical  pathos  with  proper  exegetical  methods  and  communication  skills  make  the  big  idea  more  persuasive,  memorable,  and  clear?"  The  Conclusion  of  this  thesis  is  that  the  evidence  suggests  that  the  right  use  of  biblical  pathos  with  appropriate  exegetical  methods  and  communication  skills  indeed  make  the  big  idea  more  persuasive,  memorable,  and  clear.
