■520    ▼aAfter  understanding  the  biblical  and  theological  priority  of  hearing  the  Word  of  God,  the  researcher  defined  expository  preaching  as  the  best  method  for  preaching  to  allow  hearing  the  Word  of  God  to  take  place.  The  researcher  identified  historical  and  contemporary  technological  advancements  that  allow  hearing  of  the  Word  of  God.  The  researcher  developed  an  expert  team  to  put  together  a  multi-faceted  delivery  system  for  the  Sunday  morning  sermon  at  Apex  Baptist  Church.  The  expert  team  determined  a  phased  approach  necessary  because  of  the  cost  of  the  technological  solutions.
■520    ▼aThe  ministry  project  developed  a  pilot  group  made  up  of  Life  Group  classes  who  represent  the  demographics  of  Apex,  NC.  The  expert  team  tested  the  group  before  and  after  the  multi-faceted  delivery  system  launched  in  the  pilot  phase.  The  tests  discovered  bible  knowledge,  perception  and  attitude  toward  Apex  Baptist  Church  from  consistent  absentees  in  the  pilot  group.
■520    ▼aThe  multi-faceted  delivery  system  experienced  many  difficulties  and  delays,  but  has  been  implemented  at  Apex  Baptist  Church.  The  completion  of  phase  one  and  financial  investment  for  phase  two  of  the  multi-faceted  delivery  system  occurred  during  the  ministry  project.  The  church  expects  to  implement  phase  three  in  two  to  five  years.  Additionally,  the  preaching  style  of  the  pastor  and  the  environment  of  the  worship  center  have  been  improved  to  better  accommodate  a  multi-media  approach  to  preaching.
■520    ▼aThis  Doctor  of  Ministry  Project  Report  explains  the  researcher's  attempt  to  develop  a  multi-faceted  delivery  system  to  increase  participation  in  the  Sunday  morning  preaching  event  at  Apex  Baptist  Church,  Apex,  NC.  Church  statistical  data  identified  absenteeism  as  a  major  issue  facing  the  church  and  established  the  need  for  such  a  project.  The  strategy  delivers  the  Sunday  morning  sermon  to  absentee  church  members  so  hearing  the  Word  of  God  can  occur.
