■520    ▼aThe  purpose  of  this  dissertation  was  to  analyze  the  impact  of  difficulty  managing  emotion  on  the  formation  of  an  emotional  concept  of  God  in  evangelical  Christians.  The  sample  was  made  up  of  258  evangelical  Christian  adults  who  were  asked  to  complete  the  36-item  version  of  the  God  Image  Scales  (GIS)  and  the  Difficulty  in  Emotion  Regulation  Scale  (DERS).  Several  regression  analyses  were  employed,  and  vital  discoveries  were  made  about  the  relationship  between  God  image  and  emotion  regulation.  Among  the  findings  in  this  research,  God  image  and  emotion  dysregulation  were  found  to  have  a  moderately  strong  correlation,    r(216)  =  -.44,  p    .001.  Also,  the  clarity  and  impulse  scales  of  the  DERS  were  found  to  explain  19%  of  the  variance  of  scores  on  the  God  Image  Scales.  The  findings  and  implications  are  discussed,  and  suggestions  for  future  research  are  given.
