The Scottish parish system : Seen as incarnational- [e-book]

초록/해제: 요약 : This final project addresses the issue of how best a parish minister in Scotland may minister to his or her parish. Are people who live in the parish but are not members of the congregation to be viewed as being equally important, in terms of ministry, as members? In the light of the debate within The Church of Scotland on the place of the parish System within the mission of the Church, this project seeks to discover how the Kirk Session of the Church of Scotland congregation of St. Cuthbert's views the nature of the ministry of the ordained minister and of the congregation, in regard to being a parish Church in Scotland today.

초록/해제: 요약 : To this end, the members of the Kirk Session were interviewed, as were an equal number of people who are not members of St. Cuthbert's Parish Church, on their working ecclesiology of a Scottish parish Church. The result of this study shows that this Kirk Session views the ministry of the ordained minister and of the congregation within the Scottish parish System as being equally to members and non-members alike. The members of the Kirk Session, and the people who are not members of St. Cuthbert's, believe strongly, as does the minister, in the concept of the Scottish parish church as being a vehicle of mission and service to the people of the parish.

It also points to further research into the theology of parish ministry in the context of a National Church.
