■520    ▼aIn  order  to  change  the  preconceived  values  of  ineffective  churchgoers  to  the  values  of  the  Kingdom  of  God,  it  requires  great  deal  of  training  to  completely  change  their  whole  constitution.  The  intention  of  this  thesis  is  to  analyze  what  caused  one  person  to  fall  into  a  customary  and  formal  religious  life  and  another  person  to  faithfully  dedicate  one's  life  to  experience  the  power  of  God  in  proclaiming  His  Word.  The  study  will  focus  on  Gospel  preaching  and  evangelism.
■520    ▼aDuring  ten  years  of  ministry,  the  author  felt  uncomfortable  with  the  fact  that  the  majority  of  church  members  migrate  from  one  church  to  the  other  in  search  of  better  church  programs.  Hence,  the  thesis  will  explore  how  one  could  motivate  Christians  to  live  the  life  of  evangelism.
■520    ▼aIn  the  first  chapter,  the  motive  of  the  dissertation  will  be  discussed.  The  cessation  of  growth  in  the  Korean  church  is  mainly  because  of  the  lack  of  the  value  of  preaching  the  Gospel,  therefore,  the  value  of  preaching  the  Gospel  will  be  discussed  as  well  as  ways  to  motivate  it.  The  second  chapter,  it  will  investigate  various  references  on  the  'value,'  and  also  the  change  of  a  value  in  a  church.
■520    ▼aIn  the  third  chapter,  the  biblical  value  of  preaching  the  Gospel  will  be  presented  especially  the  view  of  the  early  church,  Christ,  and  Paul.  The  historical,  theological,  and  biblical  basis  for  the  value  of  preaching  the  Gospel  will  be  discussed.
■520    ▼aIn  the  fourth  chapter,  the  change  of  values  in  the  members  of  Joyful  Church  and  its  process  of  change  will  be  discussed.  A  work  of  Ralph  W.  Neighbour  on  the  one  to  one  relationship  will  be  discussed.
■520    ▼aIn  the  last  chapter,  the  methods  that  were  employed  in  Joyful  Church  will  be  discussed.
■520    ▼aThese  methods  are  designed  to  promote  a  value  of  evangelism  and  they  will  be  helpful  to  established  Korean  churches.  It  is  author's  earnest  hope  to  see  that  more  churches  would  have  a  healthy  value  of  evangelism,  and  that  this  dissertation  would  serve  as  a  tool  for  the  Kingdom  of  God.
