초록/해제: 요약 : The purpose of this study is to promote forgiveness in the ministry. Through the literature review of empirical research, this study investigated the process and trends of forgiveness. Over the last two decades, there have been many studies on the subject of forgiveness. Although these studies have been largely a topic of Christian theological studies, forgiveness study is now also conducted by many social science researchers.

초록/해제: 요약 : This study attempted to answer the following questions: (a) What have we learned about the practice of forgiveness that is relevant to the church's ministry? (b) How can pastors be prepared for leading their congregations in valuing and practicing forgiveness? (c) What approaches to teaching forgiveness have been most helpful, and how might they be practiced in the church? (d) Where and how might this forgiveness teaching be implemented in a Korean context?

초록/해제: 요약 : This study also investigates the theological integration on forgiveness. God wants to forgive our sins. In order to forgive our sins, God gave people a sacrifice system in the Old Testament. Many animals died for the forgiveness of sins, but in the New Testament, God sent Jesus to this world, and He died in the place of sacrificial animal. He forgave our sins. Jesus not only forgave us but also He wants us to practice forgiveness.

초록/해제: 요약 : The passage of Luke 7:36-50 teaches us to know the value of forgiveness and what we have to do with forgiveness. A forgiven woman went to Jesus, and she washed the feet of Jesus with her tears and dried them with her hair. Simon, the owner of the house did not offer any water for the feet of Jesus. However, the woman went the extra mile willingly because of thankfulness for forgiveness. She knew the worth of forgiveness. Jesus wants us to know the value of forgiveness and to practice forgiveness.

초록/해제: 요약 : Many Koreans have experienced a lot of suffering because of rejection and abusive behavior from their family members. They have suffered bullying by peers at school. They are facing marital conflict in the family. Korea was under the colonial rule of the Japanese for 36 years, and Korean people experienced the tragedy of the Korean War. Many people are living with bitterness, and they cannot live healthy lives. The literature review of Chapter Two shows us that forgiveness intervention is very helpful in enabling people to forgive. It is helpful to train children, young adults, marital couples, and older adults to forgive their offenders. Therefore, the Korean church needs to start nationwide forgiveness intervention for those who have suffered due to family members, school students, co-workers, and business partners.

초록/해제: 요약 : Forgiveness intervention is good for some people; however, others cannot forgive their offender through group forgiveness intervention. In this case, the Korean church can provide forgiveness counseling sessions. This study ends with recommendations for how forgiveness training and intervention might be developed within the Korean church, which preaches a message of forgiveness.
