요약 : The purpose of this quantitative correlational study was to investigate the relationship between congregant perceptions of executive servant leadership as demonstrated by Christian pastors and attitudes toward church (operationalized as church climate and congregant behaviors) in a Christian denomination in the Pacific Northwestern United States. Congregants were surveyed online using the Executive Servant Leadership Scales and the Church Attitude Inventory. The research question asked what relationship, if any, existed between executive servant leadership as perceived by church congregants and attitudes toward church. The analysis of the interval data involved Pearson correlation analysis and simple and multiple linear regressions. The bivariate correlation results showed stronger relationships of perceived servant leadership with congregant perceptions of church climate than with congregant behaviors. The regression results indicated executive servant leadership as a whole was a significant predictor of church climate (R2 = 0.54), congregant behavior (R2 = 0.21), and church attendance (R2 = 0.03). Additionally, church climate was positively predicted by leader's moral integrity and building community (cumulative R2 = 0.54), congregant behavior was positively predicted by moral integrity (R 2 = 0.23), church attendance was positively predicted by moral integrity (R2 = 0.13) and negatively by egalitarianism (cumulative R2 = 0.26), and tithing was positively predicted by perceived pastor altruism (R2 = 0.03). These findings are relevant to pastor leadership, recruitment, and training.
