■520    ▼aThe  Holiness  Church  of  North  America  began  with  a  small  group  of  dedicated,  young  people  in  1920.  Though  lacking  a  spiritual  leader,  they  began  evangelizing  Japanese  Americans  in  Los  Angeles  area  under  the  OMS  name.  By  God's  grace,  the  Lord  answered  their  earnest  prayers  and  Sadaichi  Kuzuhara  was  soon  appointed  their  leader.  Since  then,  the  church  has  become  one  of  the  most  rapidly  growing  Japanese-American  churches  in  Southern  California.
■520    ▼aThis  study  presents  a  historical  analysis  of  the  development  of  OMS  Holiness  churches  before  and  after  the  Second  World  War.  The  analysis  focuses  on  the  establishment  of  the  church  and  its  ministry,  and  on  its  subsequent  development  over  the  thirty-year  period  from  1920  to  1950.  Finally,  the  author  relates  these  past  church  experiences  to  the  Holiness  Church  today.  In  particular,  this  study  highlights  the  importance  of  historical  evaluation  for  today's  Holiness  Church  as  it  plans  for  future  ministry.
