- 요약 : The decline of authority in contemporary preaching reflects a commensurate departure from the biblical mandate of preaching. The content and the manner of delivery of contemporary preaching should be illuminated by the principles seen in New Testament proclamation. The New Testament does not give a definition of preaching; however, careful study of the New Testament words that denote preaching provides a practical understanding of the nature and principles of preaching in the contemporary setting.
- 초록/해제
- 요약 : In the New Testament, the three most important words that denote Christian preaching are $\delta\iota\delta\alpha\chi\'\eta,\ \epsilon\'\nu\alpha\gamma\gamma\'\epsilon\lambda\iota o\nu,$ and $\kappa\'\eta\rho\nu\gamma\mu\alpha.\ \Delta\iota\delta\alpha\chi\'\eta$ mainly refers to teaching, but there is ample evidence that the term is used along with the other two words that denote preaching. The primary meaning of $\epsilon\'\nu\alpha\gamma\gamma\'\epsilon\lambda\iota o\nu$ is preaching, proclaiming the good news of salvation. However, the New Testament also demonstrates that $\epsilon\'\nu\alpha\gamma\gamma\'\epsilon\lambda\iota o\nu$ is used, in a broad sense, for the delivering of the message concerning the Christian way of life and doctrinal teaching for the believers. K$\'\eta\rho\nu\gamma\mu\alpha,$ the most important word for New Testament preaching, refers to the public proclamation of the salvific message of what Jesus has done through His atoning death and resurrection.

- 요약 : The first section of the study comprehensively studies these three terms and analyzes the usage of each term in classical Greek and New Testament writing. Special emphasis is given to both differences and similarities in the New Testament text. K$\'\eta\rho\nu\gamma\mu\alpha,$ the eventual focus of the chapter, emerges as the term that best signifies the nature and characteristics of the New Testament preaching.

- 요약 : The second section (Chapters 3-4) deals, first, with theological characteristics manifest in $\kappa\'\eta\rho\nu\gamma\mu\alpha.$ Since this study proposes that contemporary preaching should be illuminated in the term $\kappa\'\eta\rho\nu\gamma\mu\alpha,$ chapter three deals with the nature and characteristics of kerygmatic (apostolic) preaching in the New Testament. This chapter reveals the essential points of the kerygmatic preaching of the apostles. The last chapter considers the practical aspects of $\kappa\'\eta\rho\nu\gamma\mu\alpha$ and how $\kappa\'\eta\rho\nu\gamma\mu\alpha$ should be related to contemporary preaching. This writer concludes that contemporary preaching needs to reconsider the nature and principles of New Testament preaching and what $\kappa\'\eta\rho\nu\gamma\mu\alpha$ should signify in contemporary preaching.
